**TIMELY The funding for the Cape Cod Water Collaborative, as proposed by the Barnstable County Commissioners, has become something of a volleyball in weekly hearings before the Barnstable Assembly of Delegates as each side wrangles for final say over how funds should be allocated. What both boards appear to agree on is that water quality monitoring and processing of water quality data for use by the Cape’s 15 towns must continue. How those funds are managed is what is the subject of continuing debate. We will update as the muddy waters become clearer. What does seem clear is that all of the officials value clean water. So at least we can all drink to that.
